My Elevator Pitch

“As an MBA candidate and former Army Captain, I’m obsessed with leveraging technology in creative ways to make a positive impact at the intersection of business and gaming.”

After seven years of military service, my current focus is to become increasingly proficient in the technical areas of marketing and product/project management - learning Confluence, Jira, Agile methodologies, and joining the UNC Marketing Club, Analytics Club, and Game Development Club. Additionally, to apply my business acumen in an industry-specific way, I conducted a product marketing analysis of Concord’s segmentation and launch challenges to showcase my aptitude for the business intelligence, strategy, or marketing fields. Lastly, to illustrate my ability to leverage rapidly evolving technologies, I created a companion AI named Compendius, which serves as a narrative assistant that explains in-game lore for newcomers to the Warhammer 40K universe. You can find the link to my Demo, as well as my case study, in the menu above. Overall, I am confident that I can immediately contribute to a variety of roles as a versatile leader who can navigate cross-functional teams, generate creative marketing strategies, and use complex data to help grow the unforgettable products and IPs of tomorrow.

My Career Aspirations

Finding a new career where I could also feel like I was contributing to something greater than myself was my top priority when leaving the military. As a result, I am pursuing opportunities across several exciting business sectors with innovative companies that will allow me to mix my creativity, analytical mindset, and talent for bringing teams together.

My Professional Experience

After working as a Congressional Intern and spending time in Albania in a cultural exchange program, I graduated from Seton Hall University, and commissioned as an Army Officer. My military service afforded me the opportunity to lead strategically significant missions within the South Pacific, exercise my budgetary strategy and acquisition skills, and gave me the chance to work with diverse teams across several amazing countries and cultures. However, I chose to pursue a more stable lifestyle for my family, so I left the military and transitioned into a Marketing and Sales Manager role for the Watertown Wolves - a professional ice hockey team in upstate NY. In that time, I developed several marketing campaigns prior to starting my MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler.
